OUR STORY

Mobius AI is an early-stage start-up founded by a team of transportation leaders, logistics experts, and pioneering academic researchers. Our mission is to re-define on-demand mobility through intuitive, easy-to-use software.

ABOUT US

Born Through Research

Mobius AI was born from over a decade of academic research in algorithms and system design for on-demand transportation systems conducted by a team of researchers from the Vanderbilt University SCOPE Lab, Cornell University and Penn State University. Our research has been published in leading AI, computer science, and optimization venues and includes multiple patented technologies. Through this experience we were able to develop our initial routing technology and software framework for what would become Mobius AI.

Through the sponsorship of grants from the National Science Foundation and the Department of Energy, we were able to pilot our offerings with multiple municipalities in the United States which showed a 20% improvement in efficiency. Having demonstrated the potential of our work, we decided to bring our technology to the commercial market through Mobius AI.

Our Journey So Far

2015-Present

RESEARCH AND ALGORITHM DEVELOPMENT

Mobius AI was founded out of the research facilities of Vanderbilt University in collaboration with the SmartTransit Research Group and SCOPE Lab

2022

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT

We started development of our initial software prototype. The development process included working closely with our partner agencies. Through this time we were able to learn the unique challenges facing the shared-ride industry.
